Whom do you think Martinez should fight next? I see that calling out Pac and Mayweather aren't popular options on the board, so who do you think would be the best combination of challenge, likelihood, marketability, status building and intrigue?

If Margarito beats Cotto, I'd like to see that rematch, especially if Margarito is once again impressive, though I'm not sure he has much left. I'd also like to see him fight Cotto, but I'm not sure Cotto wants that fight.
I doubt Floyd or Pac will fight him, even though I do believe both could beat him even at 154, but in a tougher fight than they might want for the reward involved. Martinez will seemingly never have huge drawing power.
Pirog or Golovkin would also be good for us fans, but I doubt Dibella will entertain those options unless nothing else at all pops up for Martinez. I think its very obvious they only want to get SM a big money fight, but it just may not be there. It's pretty sad the #3 P4P guy can't even do a PPV.

Pirog or avenge his lose to Margarito asuuming he gets passed Cotto, he simply doesn't belong in the same ring wih Mayweather or Pacquiao at the time

wait until after November to see if manny wants to get beat up by Floyd yet

if no, he should try to make a fight with Floyd at 154

Strange that you haven't mentioned potential middleweights like JCC, Macklin or Lee. I think he should fight either one of them or Sturm.

Abraham, I'm just curious if Arthur can land a right hand lead. I think he's a different fighter at 160, in the super 6 he was drastically outsized.

My second choice is Cotto, but I'm campaigning for him to fight Sergio Dzinzurick

Perhaps Lee, Pirog, maybe even Vera.

Personally, if I were him, I would consider JCC.

i like in the post interview Martinez being asked about Hopkins trying to cherry-pick him at 170.... his eyes widened and said straight up, "Thats TOO heavy!"

WTF up with that? How come he aint ballsy enough to cherry-pick a supermid, but wants to pick a fight with an under-sized Mid, lawlz? I understand trying to fight a "superstar", but he dont need to dip 2 classes down for that, unless he knows he cant handle any supermid ranked #1-5

i'd like to see him vs JCC, but i think JCC is being prepped up for something specific.

ive heard rumors of an Alvarez/Chavez showdown down the road from Arum...

Does Hopkins present the huge money purse plus ppv bonus that mayweather and pacquiao brings? The answer is easily NO!!! And Martinez aint the only one that picks on smaller fighters. Just ask Hopkins.

Who not whom but nice effort.

Sturm is preferable but not sure he'd want it.

No, it's 'whom' because the opponent is the direct object, not the subject. 'Fight' is the action verb.

"Who is fighting Martinez next?" is correct.
"Whom is fighting Martinez next?" is incorrect.
"Who is Martinez fighting next?" is incorrect.
"Whom is Martinez fighting next?" is correct.

    But I digress!
