Calzaghe or Zelenoff, for seperate reasons. Calzaghe is the definition of someone who made very soft defenses 90% of his career just to hold onto that 0, so I feel he's very undeserving of it. I would find it pretty funny to see Zelenoff beat someone in the ring, and in a way I'm pulling for him.
I'd like to see Mayweather's 0 go (which may never happen now) because he doesn't believe in any era that he would ever be defeated. I'd like to see all of their 0's go so it brings them back down to the real world. Sometimes fighters can't cope with losing when they're undefeated, so when they are losing they begin to fall apart. Also a loss can help improve a fighter in certain situations.
I agree, I'm just happy to see Calzaghe duck Pavlik, at least now some of the Calzaghe nuthuggers will have to swallow there pride a little bit, instead of Cazlaghe's dick for a change.
Can you please confirm this ducking or are you just repeating what the tabloids say? On top of that, why would you be happy to see one boxer duck another? You realise that's not a good thing for the sport?
I cant confirm or deny the rumors, but after MasterCalzaghe denounced his boy on a thread, I knew the rumors had to have some truth to them. I dont like Calzaghe, he took the easy rode most of his career, and is now picking off greats well past there respective primes, just to stack his very weak resume. From (Eubank) 97-06 (Lacy), he fought mostly C class oppenents as a WBO champion, never once unifying during that time. Calzaghe is not a legend, he's a guy with alot of talent, but never had the guts to challenge himself until late in his career, against the right oppenents, at the right time.
Yep, that'd be my pick. Pretty much for the same reason. I actually am coming round to him more and would like him to be successful, but a loss could work wonders for him in the long run.
Well, as it stands Calzaghe hasn't announced his retirement, like Mayweather. He hasn't signed to fight anyone yet. If Pavlik can make Calzaghe a better offer than Jones, then i'd be pretty confident that he'd take the highest purse. That remains to be seen of course. If he ends up just fighting Jones and then retiring, then I for one would lose quite a bit of respect for him. But the only big blotch on Calzaghe's resume is Ottke. Johnson did **** at 168. All the other title holders have come and gone with little to show. Jones was well gone before Calzaghe arrived. Hopkins was doing his thing at 160. Now Hopkins can go into retirement thinking back to 2002 when he was on the verge of fighting Calzaghe and think "things would of been different if I just fought him then".
