Fair enough, I think Jones/Calzaghe will do well, as would Pavlik/Calzaghe PPV wise. I just think the real fans of boxing on ESB know he should be fighting next, and it's not nearly washed up RJJ.
**** that. If Joe still has his legs, he defeats Pavlik via clear decision. It won't be nearly as close as most expect. The guy who'd push him the hardest is Chad Dawson, but it'll never happen.
Its the fact that he is terrible, yet somehow seems to headline $60 PPVs fighting borderline gatekeepers (below the borderline that is...) and getting viewers and fans due ONLY to lineage. Please dont get me started on JCC Jr. (and yes my anger stems from the fact that I order one of his ppvs before I realized how truely bad he is... )
What's your point? That fight wasn't close. It was 10-2 Calzaghe, or maybe 9-3, 8-4 at the very most. It was a competitive fight, but Hopkins' lack of activity doomed him, just like it did against Taylor. And Jones has aged worse than Hopkins, so this one won't even be that close.
:yep I got drunk one night and almost ordered one. Glad I didn't. Now, we get to look forward to the younger brother -- who's supposed to be better, apparently -- getting PPVs of his own. Mexican fans need to learn some discretion!
I actually had it 7-5 Calzaghe....minus the KD. But there were also 2 very close rounds that I gave to Joe as well...meaning a close Hopkins win (114-113 because of the KD) is not out of the realm of possibility. Tho not what I in all honesty scored. 10-2 is an insane score Lampley...ya know I respect the **** outta your boxing knowledge...but 10-2??? Ya need to watch it again bro.
