That's not accurate. Pac is the #1, until he is beaten or retired. A win of any kind over Clottey will be more than enough for Pac to keep that status, no matter what Mayweather does.

the start of your statement is just crazy. Pac fighting bums until he retires isn't enough to keep number 1. not saying that's what he has been doing but that's what you said.

a Mayweather follower would say, well Manny didn't beat the man(Floyd) to get his spot at the top.

Because he defended the UNDEFEATED Mayweather which will be bigger hype, den Floyd beating a previously defeated and aged Mosley. At least thats what they'll say. I say Sugar or Money SHOULD be number 1 no matter how Pac's fight ends.

    It depends on the outcomes.

If Pacquiao looks average in a UD over Clottey and Mayweather knocks Mosley out or shuts him out, Mayweather should be considered #1. If Pac destroys Clottey, he should remain #1 no matter what the outcome of the Mayweather fight.

Pac was already ahead of PBF p4p when he beat DLH wether he came back or not, he distanced the gap even further by beating Hatton, the gap was huge by the time he beat Cotto. PBF beating Mosley wont change anything....dammm...didnt Cotto beat Mosley?

Mosley's greatest achievement recently is beating a 1 dimensional bricklayer without his bricks. PBF fans trying to make out now that Margo was one of the greatest wins ever propelling Mosley to this godlike status than PBF must take down, yet at the time Margo was calling Floyd he was a nobody and Floyd wouldnt get credit for beating him. :rofl

currently mosley had a real fight to get his title where cotto didn't so whats your point? Your logic is the guy thats ranked #3 eventhough he's really #1 in his division lost to cotto and a guy who has a belt in which he forces challengers to fight below the weight and beat cotto is #1 because of so? Manny's not even a WW in my eyes he's more of a JWW and Floyd's titleless.
