He did show some chin against Hopkins though.

He got KO'd once when he was a teenager, and again when he was 21 against Medgoen Singsurat who is a hands down BEAST anywhere under 120. And he lost to Erik Morales who is a great fighter. And he came back and stopped him twice.

Calzaghe retired because he was afraid to lose his perfect record. And that's why he'll never come out of retirement.

Produce the evidence for - Calzaghe retired because he was afraid to lose his perfect record. If you can`t it`s just your biased opinion. :hi:

**** off.. pac never had an amateur career, daddy to train him, hand picked opponents for 90% of his career... pac can never be accused of ducking opponents. He's fought everyone - all the big names anywhere close to his weight division.

pac came from poverty to be one of the most amazing fighters ever.... Calzaghe? who had ever taken notice of him before Hopkins? he's no where near the legacy of pacman. not even close.

which fighter would you prefer to watch? objectively, anyone would prefer pac. based on quality of his opponents and the manner with which he fights them - and mostly destroys them.

name a fighter that cal has fought remotely as good as morrales. Pac started at 106 pounds as a 16 year old so he could earn money for his fam. he didn't have no amateur career. he didn't have no daddy to teach him to box from an early age. 3 losses does not make cal better than pac, cos pac's opponents since have been nothing short of top class - something which can't be said of cal's opponents. Pacman's fights are always amazing to watch - something which cant be said about cal. I hate it when cal supporters wanna detract from guys like pac they "lost". He'll go down in history as one of the best all time - not cal.

It might be my opinion but I made it through logic. And it's not biased because I think Calzaghe was a good fighter and I have huge respect for him. And I obviously can't find an article where Calzaghe says, "I retired because I want to keep my unbeaten record."

I just think Pacquiao's much more accomplished. Just because he retired undefeated doesn't make him great by any means. If he was great he'd have at least tried to beat Marciano's record.

Shouldn't you be seeking cheap dental insurance?

No offense to any other Brit or Northern European except Sir Douchesalot (pugilist).

Is that really the British stereotypical view of Americans?

Subquestion: Is that really the best you got?

whatever... yanks loved hatton and he's a brit. yanks (and everyone else) just love watching great fighters fight other great fighters in absolute wars. hence why yanks don't like floyd jnr. :patsch

your logic is floored. we have a question mark over JC when it comes to his legacy (and especially when compared to pacman) cos he doesn't have the huge fights that pac does. that's all. JC's record can't hold a candle to pacman's. that's the top and bottom of it my friend
