Floyd is the better boxer by a large margin; however, he doesn't do everything better than Hopkins. More specifically, he doesn't know how to make a fight filthy like Hopkins does. No one is as good at getting dirty as the old man. Hopkins takes fights away from younger opposition by making them uncomfortable. He knows how to stifle anybody. What Hopkins does best is ugly, but it is artful.

Mayweather by a country mile. Hopkins was never as clever in a ring as FMJ.

Absolutely, but you will have a hard time trying to convince Jones fanboys that his lack of fundamentals was his downfall. They will try and give you some drivel about adding and losing weight quickly.

If we had all the compubox data on all their fights (and everyone went with it) we could do a total tally hits landed on and connects landed for a great answer. Since we don't, I'll take Floyd's total arsenal over B-Hops one trick pony of near perfection, tough and close call though...

This shouldn't even be a question. Mayweather is better in every aspect.

Well Foxy, I'm a long time fan of Roy's, and definitely NOT a Floyd fan, but I don't think anyone can deny that, if you factor in the fundamentals, Floyd is probably the best in a long while.

Floyd doesn't act like a ***** and fake low blows and rabbit punches and shoulder injuries.
