Who's a better trainer for Cotto right now, Emanuel Stewart or Pedro Diaz?

Who do you guys think is the better trainer for him right now in this point of his career? I personally think it's Diaz and that's because I think Stewart already served his purpose by getting Cotto to box and helped him with his balance and defense. So Diaz is just bringing everything all together at this point.

Im going with Diaz... Guy seems dedicated to making a good fight plan for Cotto! Although Manny has more experience, I think Pedro spends every waking hour figuring out how to beat Voids ass! The man will be a true hero if Cotto wins!

Only way we will be able to tell is if he does at least decent against Floyd, Diaz trained him for the Marg fight? which I think he would have won with a pigeon training him tbh.

, I agree man. You can see it in the way he trains Cotto. He's not playing with this one and no matter what happens, he's gonna put everything he can into Cotto to win and have him in the best shape of his life.

I disagree. When you fight Marg, you need stamina and you can't be fighting spots and that's because Marg is always coming foward and does his best work when you take breaks with him. The fact that he was able to increase Cotto' stamina, sharpness, punchout put and speed, says a lot. Because Margarito attacked him the same way he did their first fight but because of the things that I just mentioned, it was a completely different outcome. And we all seen it. Most people came under the impression that Marg had his number based on styles, but it shows that if you have the right training methods and right stragey, all that can be reversed.

I'm going with Diaz, simply because he is an unknown quantity at this stage, and that's a dangerous proposition. Fighters study tapes of fighters to ascertain their style, and Stewards fighters are always predictable anyway. Whilst we all know Cotto's basic blueprint, we don't know how he is going to fight come fight night... Diaz is an interesting proposition.

Diaz. . . I think Steward, at this point in his career, doesn't have the passion for boxing like Diaz does. . . Diaz is obviously the type of guy who literally "LIVES" boxing. . . He's constantly thinking of new ways to train, and "adapts". . . Even though Cotto has a strength and conditioning coach as well, Diaz is like a S & C coach, and strategist in one. .

I think Stewart just has an old school "system", and he just goes through the motions. I hate to say it, but I just don't think Steward is really 100% into the sport like Diaz is. . He's more like a hired mercenary just trying to get paid. . Of course, he's STILL a great trainer, but I feel like Diaz is the perfect guy for Cotto's style, and just overall a better fit right now.

Diaz seems to bring more intensity and dimension. I am glad Cotto spent time with Steward though, because he fixed his balance, improved his guard, and Diaz said he just wanted to build upon what Cotto's previous trainers instilled in him.

Diaz, he is very passionate about Cotto who is his main fighter while Steward is obv always busy/focused with Wlad and also Lee and K9.
