I think Cotto (especially Pre-Pac) is a much bigger draw than Shane. And yes, this is a very loaded, agenda-filled question.
I think Cotto is slightly a bigger draw. Cotto has an entire Island, New Yoricans, and hardcore fans following him. Mosley, only hardcore fans for the most part, and a few African Americans.
Cotto is the much bigger draw, I would say by at least 500K. Mosley has been involved in big fights, but most of his big fights he wasn't the draw and he had things working for him. For example, the Margarito fight took place in LA on a Mexican Holiday against a Mexican fighter. He fought against Vargas in Las Vegas, where Mexicans have gone numerous times to cheer on Mexican fighters. He fought De La Hoya in a crosstown battle in Los Angeles. So all of his big fights really have come on the backs of others, and the few times that he has carried a fight like Mayorga-Mosley he has looked okay but nowhere near the draw that Cotto is.
Cotto is a bigger draw but Shane should be the biggest draw around because of his skill set and action style.
Oh, why the hell are you asking this question?????? Asking Shane or Clottey at least has some bearing atschatsch They are about even.
If you just allowed multiple choice, I could have voted for real and also voted for Pavlik. But no, I gotta compulsively vote for Pavlik because I still think it's hilarious. So you may never know my true answer, man.
I would have to say that Cotto is a bigger draw, but we'll see in June if the the Pac fight put a dent in that drawing power?
