Who's a potential opponent for Margarito, now that Cotto is out of the picture?

Margarito with his recent win over Miguel Cotto now sits atop of the welterweight division. Not as the champion or the #1 contender, but as a serious foe to be reckoned with ...

In addition to Paul Williams (seeking redemption) who would be some other potential opponents for Margarito?

With that being said ... is there any active welterweight in the division that you guys think can beat him?

Margo is going to fight Judah or Mosley next(quite ironic that he's going after two Cotto victims).

A rematch with a healthy Joshua Clottey ... because before the hand injury ... Margarito was in serious jeopardy of losing that fight ...

They're both under top rank and it could be a possible unification bout should Clottey get past Judah.

If you want to talk the undisputed #1 and undisputed welterweight champion, it has to be a matchup between WBA champion Antonio Margarito and WBO Champion Paul Williams. Whereas in the last fight against Cotto, Margarito was the bigger man and the longer reach, a rematch with Williams would mean he will be the smaller man by 2 inches and have the shorter reach by 9 inches. Plus, Williams probably has more endurance to box and keep Margarito at bay as opposed to Cotto who was shorter and needed to get on the inside. It has been said that Williams is a middleweight dressed as a welterweight. This match could serve not only to see who is #1 but also to see if Margarito can eventually move up to junior middleweight or even middleweight and contend with the bigger animals and champions that would await him.

There is a lot of storylines and money (if the two wish to go the PPV rout) to be made. This fight needs to be inked ASAP.

I think the next opponent should be any of these fighters:

Judah/Clottey winner, Paul Williams or Sugar Shane after he destroys Mayorga.

Being a huge Mosley supporter, I am nervous for Shane if he fights Tony.

Like it or not, Williams already beat Margo. Therefore, it's basic common sense to say that he is able to beat Margo. Margo has expressed no interest in rematching Williams. Williams has repeatedly stated his desire to fight Margo again, only to get ignored.

Margarito will stop Paul Williams in the rematch.

Tony will start quicker and will finish the job next time.
