No way. I bet this will be a tougher night for Cotto than many are anticipating.

I can see Gomez refusing to go away quickly, or I can see him crumbling. The fact is there's a giant question mark on his chin as he's never fought anyone with any serious snap (bigger guys, yeah, though none of them very strong...and tough guys like Tackie and Feliciano, sure - but no vicious punchers).

No idea but I should imagine Cotto will be heavy favourite.

    Agreed.:good

I think Gomez will hang in there well & maybe even trade in a few exchanges before being stopped late.

Whatever. Gomez ribs won't hold long enough for Cotto to test his chin.

well we know cotto will test that chin thoroughly like never before and i just cant see gomez taking cottos power and pressure like the way he fought judah.a masterclass performance from cotto that fight.

Based on what? The fact that he's a relatively low-regarded opponent for Cotto? That's sort of a shallow estimation. For all we know he has ribs of steel. We just don't know. He's never faced a vicious body puncher. Don't get me wrong, I think Gomez has roughly a snowball's chance in hell of winning, but I'd be equally unsurprised if he survived until late as if he got blown out early. Simply because we have nothing concrete to base either prediction on.

Nah . . . people are not taking Gomez LIGHTLY . . . Cotto is just the logical choice based on ring peformance considering their oppositions.

Yeah Gomez beat Gatti . . . an out of prime Gatti. Who else has Gomez fought and beat ? :think
