You don't think Gatti has serious snap on his punches?!? Besides which, Gomez has never been knocked down or even really hurt that I know of, and he's taken more than his share of licks in a good few slugfests. I don't think there's any reasonable doubt he has a very good chin. There is only a slight question mark in my view, that being whether his chin is only good, or is truly great to the degree that he could even stand up against a monster like Cotto.

 

That Gatti had very little snap to speak of on his punches.

Anyway, we're splitting hairs now, as I more or less agree with you. There's been no indication whatsoever of a glass jaw, but for all we know one good shot from a guy like Cotto could wreck him.

 

Cotto vs. Gomez will be better than people think.

 

You can only claim a fighter is being taken lightly when people doesn't pick him to win . . . despite a very good ring performance and record.

In Gomez case . . . it's not. He doesn't really have much chance. that's the truth.
