Spence he took a real beating and might have won 1 round at best. Haney won several rounds in the fight.
Spence. Haney did well for the first half and survived the distance. Spence did well for one round and then got beaten to a bloody pulp and stopped.
Spence's butt whooping was much worse. Besides the kds, Errol was taking tons of punches throughout the entire duration of the fight.
Haney’s is a lot more embarrassing since he’s in his absolute prime and was fighting Ryan Garcia not Terence Crawford. Spence also wasn’t hugging for dear life the whole time
Spence all day, plus he only won 1 round. But tbf to Spence he went in as the underdog and he was seen as a bigger underdog to the wider boxing fans. Garcia was 7/1 after that weigh in.
Spence got a worse beat down easily. Haney actually won some rounds and outboxed Garcia for a few rounds until he got shook and knocked down. Haney was able to make it to the final bell. Spence only won the first round and the fight turned out to be a wipeout afterwards.
Spence. I was calling for the corner to stop it around round 5 or so. Haney got embarrassed more though since his dad’s a loudmouth clown.
Spence. Haney lost the first round then won the vast majority of rounds up until the first knockdown which was cancelled out by Garcia’s point deduction. Then many felt he won the 12th.
In terms of physical, mental and boxing....certainly Spence took the worse beating. However, in abstract terms, that is, in the minds of boxing aficionados, Haneys reputation took a worse beating by far. He was a 7:1 favorite, fighting a guy many people believed was a youtuber, mentally challenged whack job. Spence, on the other hand, was the betting underdog against the PFP best boxer. Yes it's apples to oranges but Haneys oranges are now totally spoiled.
Yea, but Spence was beaten by Terence Crawford. It's completely understandable and no shame in that. Haney was knocked down 3 times from a 1 trick pony telegraphing his left hook from outer space. Crawford has just as much power as Garcia does and unlike Garcia he actually knows how to fight.
