The featherweight division in the last two years, despite not being all that strong, has been pretty exciting.
Warrington getting smashed by Lara in a big upset, then Xu Can losing to Wood, followed by Martinez knocking Kid Galahad into super featherweight, Masagayo beating Russel Jr and then yesterday a great FOTY contender in Wood vs Conlan.
So with the divison being in a state where the title of the best featherweight in the world is up for grabs, who do yall personally believe deserves to be ranked at number 1, and why?

Magsayo, Lara or Navarrete for me.

    Wide open right now.

I don't think anyone in the top 5 is a huge favourite over anyone else tbh.

Na Lara is a bum who got lucky against a version of Warrington that had been out of the ring for 2 years. He knew he couldn’t win the rematch so complained about head butts. Btw I was ring side for Warrington vs Lara 2 and Lara was leaning into the head butts as if he wanted to get hit.

Navarette i would guess but he's moving up i hear. Would guess Warrington if so, think he'd beat Lara in a return.

But they are all extremely beatable

A healthy Gary Russell Jr would still beat a lot of fighters today.

Navarrete should be called the top dog right now. I can see Mauricio Lara battering some more of the top guys too though. It’s an exciting division right now and I think we’ll see that excitement continue for a while.

Well ever unsurprisingly the Brits and Irish fighters are some of the greatest warriors in the division

    In no order

    Wood
    Gill
    Conlan
Warrington (sure the rematch was a disgrace but how he managed to last as long as he did and eat as many flush bombs as he did against the murderous punching Lara I'll never know, especially given the injuries he sustained to his ear drum and jaw)

FTR, I was never a fan of any of these guys before

And honorary Brit and personal favourite of mine King of the Road Warriors Kiko

Jazza Dickens and Isaac Lowe displayed their huge warrior hearts in their last outings too

And then you have the likes of Navarrete, Magsayo, GRJ (could beat anyone in the division when healthy and active), and the savage punching Lara.
