To be honest i dont think there is a fight out there that calzaghe would get credit for legacy wise:
pavlik-not proven, 2 weight classes below
    rjj-shot
    tarver-shot
    dawson-not proven
Its a shame there is no superfight that every1 would like to see for such a talented fighter.

At the moment it is obviously Pavlik that the fight fans want to see.
But 20-30 years down the line do you really think Pavlik will be a HOFer, i'm not so sure. RJJ is a great way to go out but I really hope Cal can squeeze in one more fight after RJJ

What about stopping Miranda brutally, Pavlik has brutal power, might not be most technically gifted fighter but he is a wrecking machine.

Fighting both would be the logical choice. I suggest Calzaghe to fight Roy and Pavlik to fight Abraham first and let the winners fight each other.

    :?

Why what has Pavlik accomplished? Has he accomplished more than what JC has accomplished?

Bang your head against the concrete wall and maybe you'll realize what you're saying.

    "FLOORED"???
My god...If you that being floored, what do you call a *real* knockdown? You must be like "HOLY ****! That guy just killed that other guy!!!!! OMG, the dead guy getting back up!"
    People get on my nerves......

Neither give JC much credit, but I'd go for the $. Pavlik isn't established enough. If he beats him...He beat a guy that was apparently overhyped.
If he beats RJJ he beats an old man who has run out of gas.

Pavlik for me. But on paper, ahving RJJ on his resume might prove more impressive 5 to 10 years from now, depending on how Pavlik proves himself in the coming years.

Precisely. This isn't the same as the Floyd Mayweather Jr situation. There were always prime top notch fighters for him to fight, but all Calzaghe has is Dawson (green), Pavlik (overhyped if loses), and RRJ (Shot to peices).

Pavlik. Its more of a gamble, but its a good one. RJJ at this point is not much for his legacy, considering he was knocked out by both Tarver and Johnson and is widely considered shot.

Calzaghe got unlucky with Lacy when he injured his left shoulder in his next fight. That was just a freak occurance.

Calzaghe got unlucky with Lacy :huh Hmm anyways what other than 2 wins over Taylor does Pavlik bring to the table ? A win over Miranda and Lockett whom now seem to be on the same level !

As fars as lgeacy with Pavlik there is none ..It as much of a gamble as the Lacy fight was ..No legacy there since he wouldn't even be fighting a guy in his own division ..Lacy at least brought a strap at super middle ..
