This is the type of fight that matches two complete opposites, a power puncher and a boxer. Usually the boxer wins, but an interesting matchup, and I always favor the punchers, but the importance of boxing and moving always seems to rise to the top.
Guzman by a ****ing longshot. Guzman is better in every way except power punching. Technically Guzman makes Valero look like an amateur.
i cannot say who is the better fighter of the two as of now but in a head-to-head match, i think guzman can box his way to a comfortable decision. imo, valero will find it hard to land a flush shot on the more agile and elusive guzman. and if he lands one, imo guzman can take that shot because he is big for jr. lightweight. just look at how well he took the body blows of soto who has a very decent power.
Guzman easy. Guzman also weighs in at 148 on fightnight, and Valero's power would be quite uneffective if they ever fought. 148 when the division is 130. I'm sure he'll never fight at 130 again.
Guzman is much better in every aspect besides power. Valero is one of the most crude champions I've ever seen. I'm not even sold on his power.
