Yes this is pure H2H only. Meaning there's no resume's and accomplishments to be included here. So who's the better H2H fighter between these 2 Beristain-trained fighters?
Everything JMM does well, Lopez does it with better accuracy and power. I think the one thing that edges Lopez over JMM is power. The *******'s jaws will probably drop, but I think Ricardo Lopez was the better fighter all-around. ......and btw, just a little play to the Pac lovers...... P4P, Ricardo Lopez KO8 Manny Pacquiao. Just like JMM, Lopez would school Pac, but Lopez' better punching Power would get Pacquiao out of there in 8! :bbb
Its kind of like asking who is better H2H Jose luis Castillo or Julio Cesar Chavez, except the comparison between Lopez and Marquez H2H are closer. Marquez comes from the same boxing school that FInito came from.
I fail to see the correlation between Pac and JMM-Finito. :huh No need to include Pacquiao here. We're talking about JMM and Lopez. The rest, keep them opinions to yourself.
Damn, you had to create this thread didn't you lol...Finito was faster, J.M.M fought the better comp. I can't pick one over the other. Both are amongst my favorite Mexican fighters of all time. The Shinnocock is preventing me from picking one over the other.
To me, Lopez is in the top five best fighters to ever come out of Mexico. I would put Lopez on top of Marquez if I had to rank them. If you are a fighter, Lopez is one of the guys you want to imitate in your training. He was always ready to throw the counter punch after his combinations.
:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl Divac's insecurity against Paquaio is unequalled. he sleeps, wakes up and breath with JMM on his mind . . . reason why he'll take every opportunity to pull down the guy who beat his man. :deal
Now back to the thread . . . Finito Lopez hands down. The guy took on all comers and retired undefeated . . . that should easily justify that he is beyond everybody in his weight class.
The correlation is that since my belief is that Lopez was a more complete fighter.......I'm taking JMM's best opponent on his resume, and giving an opinion on what Ricardo Lopez would have done with him. Marquez does'nt have the same punching power that Lopez has. I'm providing an example of why Lopez imo was better. This forum needs more posters who back up opinions with examples, instead of just stating I think fighter A was better and leaving it at that. It makes for better debate. Btw, Finito Lopez UD Erik Morales and KO10 MAB.....there, make you feel better?:hey
let the record show Divac was the first to mention Pacman in this thread and in this post Pac was mentioned 5 times JMM was mentioned 3 times Lopez was mentioned 6 times in a H2H thread between JMM vs RL
The word "btw" and the phrase "just a little play to the pac lovers", doesn't seem to show that you're using Pac as an example of why Lopez is better than JMM. It gives off the impression that your bringing up Pac in this thread to take an unnecessary swipe on him and the Pac fans. Word of advise, try leaving out the words "pac lover" or "*******s" if you really were using Pac as a legitimate example of why Lopez >>> JMM.
I don't really understand an h2h comparison between 2 guys who fought at completely different weights. I suppose what you're asking is who was better at their own weight. The answer is probably Ricardo Lopez then, even though he never fought any great fighters. JMM is closing the gap with his recent performances though.
Ricardo Lopez, slightly. If one of these was fighting for my life I'd go him. We can't ignore Marquez beating Pac twice though. He is clearly a good H2H fighter, his resume is not reflective at the moment.
