Kov due to his shut out of, a aged version admittedly, Hopkins.

He doesn't get hit Like GGG does, but then GGG does that to invite his opponent to open up so..oh f^&5 it I dunno ha

Kovalev power is phenomenal. I think he is more special than GGG but both are great fighters.

Kovalev because quicker on his feet and handspeed but he may have a weaker chin. Kovalev puts his punches together superbly, 1 shot power belongs to ggg.

I think Golovkin has a higher ring-iq (His Ring generalship is off the charts), better punch resistance, better stamina, a better jab and superior punch variety. I think Kovalev is the better more fluent combination puncher, also better finishing off an opponent who's hurt. Golovkin is more methodical and patient. Kovalev goes straight for the kill often.

Both divisions are lacking in quality atm though, so it's hard to determine how good they really are. But there are some interesting up and comers in the MW at least.

I disagree with the second part of your statement, MW is weak, but LHW actually has some good up and coming fighters like Lephikin, Bertebiev, Alvarez, Barrera, Mekhontsev or Shabransky :yep

Having a poll like this in the aftermath of Golovkin vs Murray is unfair to be frank though. Result would have been quite different after the Hopkins bout for instance.

60/40 in favor of Golovkin would be more correct imo.

I'm leaning towards Kovalev, a bit. Golovkin just doesn't have the same depth of resume to really tell.

They both need at least 2-3 more top level fights to be evaluated. Pascal will be Kovalev's Murray. He should fight at least 2 more with the likes of Beterbiev, Ward, Lepikhin or Adonis while GGG should fight at least 2 more with the likes of Canelo, Chavez Jr, Lara, Charlo. After then, there can be a better evaluation.

If I'm not wrong they are sparring partners as well.
