Who's Better: Lampley or Merchant

I rarely get to hear it anymore but yeah, I enjoy it when its not a Manny Pacquaio fight.

 

Larry is good for bringing in excitement for the fight, but he only does it for the main event. Other than that they are both hugely bias and their combined boxing IQ is pitiful.

 

They compliment eachother.

Merchant always has that bewildered lost look in his eyes.
Lampley always with the teary eyes...possibly emotionally ******ed!

 

Lamprey is worthless.

His true claim to fame is being the first "sideline girl" with
ABC Sports at football games back in the olden days.

 

Lampley actually brings excitement to fights. Larry just pisses me off

they are not really comparable. Merchant is a rare type of broadcaster which stands alone. He is a counter to the sports broadcasting style of a Lampley or Tompkins. They say what is happening and he counters with a smart little ironic comparison. You cannot compare them. You can compare LAmpley to Tompkins or Tim Ryan. Even Al Bernstein is out of the comparison of those guys because he is a real boxing expert which is a different slant.

Merchant is just some moaning old **** who is needlessly negative on everything.

He pontificates and moans about fighters as if he is someone who actually did **** in a boxing ring. He never even stepped in one (interviews aside).
