Reid I would say medal winner, wins title at 25 in italy against an italian then taking 3 hard defenses beating warton along the way took calzaghe to his limits and "beating"
    Sven ottke daylight robbery.

Reid was a better fighter at his best - albeit very inconsistently.

    Resume is a toss up...

It's a good comparison, they are similar in that they only showed their full talents occasionally.

The thing is, Witter can improve his resume and go beyond the resume that Reid has.

  9. Close but I'll plump for Reid. Witter would overtake him if he wins another world title and defends it a couple of times.

Reid without doubt. Olympic bronze. Won world title in Italy against an Italian. Was unlucky not to get the decision against Calzaghe.(if he had this thread would'nt exist) and the Ottke fight was a ****in blatant stitch up. Reid was frustrating to watch at times but he mixed in better class. Plus he's a top fella and Witter's.......an aquired taste
