who's better Usyk or Byrd? at HW

Usyk, but Byrd was a really, really underrated heavyweight.

I think Ike Ibeabuchi would have beat Usyk but Usy is a tough mother****er to go along with his technical skill.

 

Byrd was a very good heavyweight, but Usyk is a level better.
A lot gets made of Byrd being the one that beat Vitali back in the day. But it that fight he merely outlasted an injured Vit, being way behind on the cards despite the older brother's injury.
Still, he was very tough and technically very good. But not in the realm of being competitive wigh a Klitschko on merit.

I think Usyk would lose to both of them, but make it interesting.

 

Byrd fought better fights. 2 fights vs Wlad, one vs Vitali, one vs Ike and one vs Tua.

Usyk is better as a fighter, better combination puncher, more powerful left hand etc.

IMO Usyk, great as he is, would likely lose to the Klit brothers just like Byrd did (Vitali injury notwithstanding). Usyk likely beats Tua but David's pressure could make it interesting.

The most intruiging match up would be Ike vs Usyk. Hmm. Can't pick this one.

Anyway, Usyk has more power and is a better fighter. Byrd fought better fighters at heavy.

 

Usyk. But Bryd still has the better wins with Tua, Klitschko, and Holyfield.
