Simular to Hearns, he was a destructive force. When Leonard who was just as fast, started hitting him. Hearns was in trouble.

Have you only watched DLH-FMJ once or something? Show me a clip of DLH popping Floyd's head back, about 90% of DLH's jabs didnt land, Castillo landed more jabs DLH, Chavez landed more and Corley landed the best shot on FMJ, DLH had a very low connect % on his jab

2 of DLHs best rounds, watch it carefully DLHs connect has to be around 10% despite flurrying: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovAigXKWdeM

Whitakers opinion on who has the best defense (at the end) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZyg46juq0U

De la Hoya landed plenty of jabs and plenty of flush punches. Here's some of them.

They had different styles of defence & both were masters of their own style, neither man takes a lot of clean shots.

    Id say Whitaker if pushed.

Sweet Pea. Mayweather uses his fast hands do hit and run. Pernell could avoid punches standing right in front of the guy. Pernell also fought better fighters.
