Now obviously neither man is an actual ATG but both are HOF locks but which of the two do you think is closer to being an actual ATG?

Both guys have very sick styles and are/ were technicians of such in their own right.

Toney's defense and ability to fight inside with short punches is atg worthy in the sense those particular skills are atg, or rival atg skills. Toney's style was very refined.

    lol that's not even close

The Boxing display against Holyfield is better than what Cotto has done in his entire career.

Toney. I got respect for Cotto, but Toneys wins over Nunn and Jirov are.better than anyone on Cottos resume. And in his prime Toney was a beast. Skillwise one of the best too.

Cotto lacks that signature win or outsanding depth that would require him to be an ATG, whereas the case can be made for Toney much easier. One great win like Mayweather might put him there though.

Cotto is far from a HOF lock. There are numerous fighters yet to be enshrined who are more deserving.
