    Cotto without a doubt.
Toney is so overated. How many SDs and close fights did Toney have?
Toney couldnt beat S Williams at first ask and looked fortunate against Tiberi. Toney has a terrible SMW resume, terrible LHW resume, lost to D Thadzi, M Griffin etc.
Many rate Toney for beating Jirov, but who did Jirov beat? WHO?
Toneys best win is probably Nunn who was ahead before Toney caught up with him.
Toney is a proven cheat and that should go against him

After posting, I had a look at the whole thread and found some very good posts that were worth reminding everyone of the facts which have been overlooked.
Thankfully Headbanger and Arcane have not been taken in by hype
    Good posts lads

Toney is an all-time great. Cotto's a good fighter. Big difference, especially in actual ability. Nothing will ever change that.

Why do you rate Toney as an ATG?

I don't have an actual list, but his resume, ability, and accomplishments over the years merit all-time great status in my opinion.

Toney = PED's = yeah, they're real and affect his legacy

    Answer: Cotto
unless we pretend PED's don't exist, that Toney didn't test positive more than once, and that PED's hamper a career and not improve one, then the answer would clearly be James Toney.

    Toney is so overrated.

A highlight reel of a few flashy counters on youtube does not a great fighter make.

Throw in the PEDs and his numerous losses and I just don't get how overwise sane boxing fans can call him an ATG.

This is a ridiculous question. Tony is an ATG. Cotto isnt.

:rofl What kind of dumb **** poll is this? James is already an ATG... so is Floyd. But James has been an ATG for a lot longer. Miguel....compared to Floyd? Their resume and accomplishments are on other levels... Miguel and Floyd both have very good resumes but Floyd has accomplished far more... Miguel shouldn't even be in the mix but then again.... it's a **** poll to begin with.

:patsch You are a complete knuckle head. So you take the worse performances of James and spin that he's some how NOT an ATG??? Ok.. we can do that with ALI.... we can do that with Leonard, Duran or any of the other ATG's.

Toney has proven his greatness while also proving his shortcomings as a "professional". Lack of disipline....ballooning up in weight in between fights....bad habits out of the ring ect...ect...ect.. have all been well documented yet he still has found ways to win on pure skill and natural instincts.

You can say James lost to Peter all day but James is also a blown up MW... you can bring up Griffin, Jones and Thadzi but he has wins against far better options other than Jones of course.

You really have surface level understanding of boxing if you can't see James is a true legend and Great. Boxing is like an onion... it has many layers and too man week end boxing fans or fan boys only scratch the surface and make complete fools of themselves. Just a little advice from someone who knows more about this sport. My 2 cents are free kid.

If you knew anything about the sport you would not be spending so much time bigging up someone who got caught taking PED's thus cheating the sport, the fans, and his opponents.
