Ah, I hear ya; I generally hate crowds too, given the higher chance of jerk offs being around. But for a once in a lifetime event like this...? There are places where you can enjoy whatever you want with less crowds & more peace & quiet, though. But to do that, you'd either have to go to shitty parts of Vegas or pay for more secluded [ie. baller/high roller] amenities.
well damn jorodz, look atcha high roller!!! pop over to ireland, maybe vegas too if i can swing it... no **** the lady wants a vegas wedding? wonder if they have a boxing themed wedding chapel. lights dim, ring/altar w/ a preacher man dressed as steve smoger... "alright you two we went over the rules in the dressing room..." i'm killin myself right now (bored at work)
Won't be Vegas. No way they are going to pass up on the opportunity of a 100,000 people + gate at the Cowboys Stadium for the MGM.
They won't do this fight justice if they had it at the MGM Grand or some other low capacity stadium in Vegas. The demand is too high. It would be a lot more historic and better if they had it at Dallas Stadium. With a stacked Mexican card and low upper level seat prices, you just might sell out the 100K seats and make a lot of boxing fans happy.
I will definitely fly to Vegas (again like Pac/Cotto) & even fly to the Dallas stadium if I have to just to watch this FIGHT, but what do you do after the fight in Dallas?
NEW ORLEANS NEW ORLEANS NEW ORLEANS ... I can't afford a plane ticket or hotel. I'm just lazy and would rather take a cab to the Superdome from my house.
lotta friends your way...i'll be there for sure if it happens there. can make that drive from I-10 east in my sleep now
They should put this on at The Roxy. After the 50/50 purse split, the next most important consideration is convenience and short travel distance for IntentionalButt.
Regardless of where the fight will be, they won't need low-priced nosebleed seats to sell out. It's gotta be Vegas. IMO, MGM would outbid all other venue contenders 'cause they know that high rollers will make a trip for the fight, gamble huge amounts before & after the fight, & pay 5 figures for ringside seats without a 2nd thought. Then, you also have to consider all of MGM's sister properties & partner casinos on The Strip that will make tons of money selling tickets to CCTV centers. Is Dallas or NOLA equipped to compete with all that Vegas has going for it?
It most definitely will be. As Arum said "It's all about who offers the most" and no one will beat what they can offer.
Unfortunately, you can't watch PPV events at any sports books (at least on the Strip, and legally). If you're looking for a massive crowd atmosphere and can't go to wherever the fight will be held (assuming somewhere in Vegas), then your only real choice is to attend a CCTV viewing.
even though im a floyd fan...ive been to pacs last two fights in vegas...i love it there and all...but im really hoping for something different...never been to dallas or n.o. .....too bad you cant put that new cowboys stadium in n.o. with the bourbon street atmopshere....n.o. and dallas makes tickets more affordable and available for everyone
Ok, then I'll do that. I have never been but have heard you can watch the fights at the casinos without being in the arena. Just assumed the Sportsbook would have it.
