Taylor continued having great success when he moved to 147, winning a share of the crown and defending it a couple of time. Even moving up to 154 for a big-money shot at Terry Norris before eventually ending up where he started looking for another shot at Chavez some 4 years later. Lacy on the other hand - didn't so much deteriorate as much as Calzaghe simply exposed his deficiencies and he was fodder for anyone who saw that he was really one-dimensional.

Taylor was still winning title fights for another 18 months or so. Lacy was losing every round to Captain Hook.

This thread is SUCH an insult to Taylor.

Don't EVER compare Taylor to that bum Lacy again.

Taylor was a special talent. Lacy always sucked.

Yes, Lacy was kind of overhyped.

Lacy's. Taylor had the 2nd best win of his career after the first JCC fight.

Chavez-Taylor 1 and Trinidad-Vargas have quite a few similarities. Likewise, Taylor had more success (that doesn't say a whole lot though) after that than Vargas did post-Trinidad, but it helps that Taylor was better to begin with than both Vargas and Lacy.

The gap between Taylor and Vargas is much closer than Vargas and Lacy. Lacy was considerably below Meldrick and Nando.
