As far as speed goes, they're close enough that it's a bit of a wash. Manny doesn't have to be faster than Floyd, he just has to be fast enough to hit Floyd...I'd say "and vice versa" but Manny isn't exactly trying to NOT be hit in the first place. The guy loves to exchange punches - and why shouldn't he? Exchanges tend to favor him.

This fight comes down to Floyd just being a smart fighter. Floyd never relies on just speed or just power or just technique. He's smart enough to see what's in front of him and make the right adjustments. Isn't always fun to watch for the casual fan, but if you're a fan of boxing it's ****ing uncanny.

The only thing that may give Manny a shot here is Floyd's inactivity. While Manny's staying sharp, Floyd's keeping his pimp hand strong. That may just be enough.

I give Manny as much of a shot to beat Floyd as people gave Duran going into his first fight with Leonard. Floyd will (and should) be favored to win, but don't be too surprised if you see the other ATG fighter in the matchup do something legendary.
