Hopkins shouldve taken the 60/40 offer from Jones and got his ass whipped:)

Roy knew he would get knocked out especially by the Hopkins at 175 that fought Tarver.

Idiot, he fought Tarver 6 years after the Jones fight was due to happen.

The blame lies mostly with Hopkins, Hopkins would have got a vastly improved pay day over what he had ever made and he would have had the chance at redeption.

60/40 and I kick your ass is pretty simple. He would not make anywhere near that money till he fought Oscar. A fight where he in no way got 50-50.

He just held no advantages. Jones has to take sum blame because if he despratly wanted it then he would have taken the 50-50.

But there are not too many fighters who held the types of advantages Jones did that would have agreed to the fight at 50-50.

Bottom line is Jones made a resonable offer and a carrer high pay day, bt a massive amount, and Hopkins knocked it back so he could fight Carl Daniels.

I was saying Bhop at 175 would have KOed Jones just like Tarver and Johnson did. Meaning if they had fought recently at 175 Roy would get his Glass Jaw shattered into a million pieces.

Nobody was talking about if they fought at 175 now, were they?

The thread was about the Jones offer after the Tito fight, in 2001.

Where Roy would have kicked his ass.

I was talking about it nuthugger. Jones knew he would have gotten KOed and as usual priced himself out and handpicked another opponent. Jones is probably the biggest cherry picker of his generation.

Another handpicked opponent, who would that be?

Joe Calzaghe, the man who just beat Hopkins.

Or if you are talking about the time after Tito:

Carl Daniels, Modarde Hakker, William Joppy and his 3rd fight with Robert Allan and the a fight with the smaller De La Hoya just for the cash are hardly pushing himself are they?

When Hopkins was fighting the ever dangerous Hakkar, Jones went up to HW and beat 225lb John Ruiz.

    Cherry picker...:tired

Yes he is a nuthugger because you made a stupid comment in reference to a completely different time frame that the thread wasn't relating to, get a grip mate.

John Ruiz? :patsch That is a great example of Roy handpicking someone thanks for proving my point. He handpicked Ruiz who had not had a KO in 5 years then dropped the belt went back down to Light Heavyweight and got KOed twice in a row.

How the **** can anyone say RJJ priced himself out when he was
    A. The Only BIG draw in this fight.
    B. Offered Bhops 40% even though he had alredy beat him.
    C. Was the Champ, and Bhops was going to make more money than he ever made.
    D. Bhops has taken far less splits to make other fights happen.

Idiot, a 175lb fighter who started at 154lbs cannot "hand pick" a Heavyweight Champion.

Frankly if there was such a thing he would have fought Chris Byrd.

But the statment is utterly ******ed, hand pick the WBA Heavyweight Champion :patsch .

Hopkins should have took the 40/60 split, if that was what he was offered.
