Arum, Mayweather and Cotto. According to the quote above, Cotto (and Cotto's people) didn't have plans of fighting Mayweather.
:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl Winky is much much bigger than Floyd. I don't blame Floyd for not fighting Winky. They simply belong to different weight classes. Ehhh...Mosley actually refused a fight against Mayweather. Margarito? Margarito is no one. Just a brave mexican fighter with a poor resume. :rofl :rofl :rofl
A question to the ones saying that it is ONLY Mayweather fault.. Why is it his fault? Please show evidence, documents, quotes or anything to demonstrate that. Something more concrete than just the "I won't let boxing retire me" quote, that means nothing btw.
I disagree. Hatton deserved to be ranked in the P4P ranking, was a Champion at 140, had won a belt at 147 (though that fight was close) and was undefeated.
IDIOT at 147 marg will KTFO hatton for sure so of course its a better win at 147 hatton is an undersized bum collazo proved that already
De La Hoya ducked Winky more than Floyd did. Winky didn't become the real champ at 154 til 2004 and by the next year he was campaigning as a middleweight. Floyd was still fighting at 140. So u tell me, where was the window for Floyd to fight him?
uhhhh, Fraud called out Winky first. . . when Winky acepted the bogus challenge - Fraud balked and ducked him. :-(
For now, it's about bad timing. If Mayweather wanted Cotto, we'd probably have Cotto-DLH, so it wasn't gonna happen this soon with The Fishnet around representing larger paydays for Team Mayweather and Team Cotto, and Arum and Mayweather being on better terms with GBP than they are with each other.
Anyone who thinks it's PBF's fault is a fool. First PBF is the champ and Cotto is the challenger he is suppose to step up to the plate and challenge PBF. Not the other way around.:deal Just like PBF went up to 154 to challenge Oscar and just like Hatton went up to 147 to challenge PBF Cotto must do the same. Why is there a double standard for Cotto?
You can't duck anyone when no offer is made dumbass.:deal You have no credibility here anyway, lying saying you met PBF GTFOH.:-(
It's Cotto's fault. Floyd has called Cotto out in the past and there was a "no thank you" in response. Cotto has yet to mutter Floyds name
You can point to statistics and labels (Top 10 P4P for example), but Margarito at 147 is a better fighter than Hatton, and that can't be denied. Margarito had a close fight with Williams, beat Clottey, and brutally beat Cintron twice. Hatton wouldn't stand a chance against Williams, Clottey would be far too strong for him, and Cintron would be too big and powerful as well (although this is Hatton's best shot). Cotto and Mayweather both hold/held stylistic advantages over Margarito and Hatton respectively, so you have to tip it in favor of who's actually the better welterweight. That goes to Margarito.
