In this battle of hilarious trainers. We pit Boston trainer of John Ruiz against Danny Garcia's obnoxious dad.

In Norman Stone, we have a gritty old ex-vietnam vet known for his guidance of "Johnny" Ruiz. Stoney loved Ruiz like a son, and he also loved berating referees with hilariously foul language if the ref didnt let Ruiz fight his grabbing style. With his short comical appearance and strong Boston accent, his greatest moments came during the Golota fight when he got ejected from the corner for calling ref Randy Neuman a " ****ing jerkoff" among a host of other great insults.

In Angel Garcia , we have the overbearing , overly protective father of Danny Garcia. This probable coke head has been in many run-ins with other trainers and even got in zab judahs face, but somehow never has gotten knocked out,,, yet. Sometimes I feel embarassed FOR Danny, for having to put up with his never-was father who still treats him like a 5 year old. Ya gotta love these hilarious trainers. Lets not forget Big John Fury either..

    Stoney KO Garcia.

Stoney is one of the most unintentionally hilarious people who has ever walked this planet. The way he looked, walked, talked and acted was LOL.

Angel is a punk and an arsehole. The only time he’ll be funny is the day someone finally calls his bluff and leaves him unconscious on the ground. That I would laugh at.

Norman Stone, hands down! So many laughable moments:

Mistakenly calling John Ruiz “Roy” in the corner, when he was getting schooled by Jones.

Stealing the belt from newly crowned Valuev in Germany.

Getting ejected from the corner against Golata, talking **** to Don King on his way out and then being filmed in the dressing room while he is fecking seething.

    Classic moments! :D

I remember that golota fight like it was yesterday. My uncle and I had a convo upon watching stoney on his knees in the dressing room, I said "he's praying" for Johnny. My uncle, a good boxing fan said sarcastically "no he's not praying" lol. We used to watch all the big fights at my buddies place. The Klitschko era, the vitali one.

To tell you the truth, angel is kind of racist, against blacks Asians you name it. What does his old lady have to say when he rolls on the floor backward and tells people to kiss his ass? Like somebody already mentioned, he needs a g check.

In real life Norman Stone is one of the genuinely best people you could ever be around. But he's dead loyal and draws a clear line in the sand between himself and his people and everyone else. But yea he does come off as a huge *******.

Actually, I wanna backtrack on calling Stone a dick. Just saw the clip with Golata again, and it’s admirable how much Stone is watching out for his guy. He clearly loves Ruiz and would walk through hell for the guy.

Also, it’s pretty funny and interesting listening to the commentators of Lampley, Merchant and Jones. It’s clear who is the fighter and who is just “regular” fight fans, with Lampley and especially Merchant calling Stone out on his unprofessionalism, while Jones is just laughing and admiring how much Stone cares for Ruiz.

There's a compilation video on the internet of stoney's freakouts. I love when he's backstage watching the golota fight after getting kicked out and his hair is bouncing around while he freaks out. I watch that video when I'm feeling down.

"There's something wrong here, I don't know what it is but there's something definitely wrong here. I never said NOTHING to that guy". - Norman Stone to himself in the dressing room about the referee after getting kicked out of the Golota fight for repeatedly insulting him.

Hahah yeah Stoney is the best.. I find it interesting that Ruiz left him and supposedly owes Stone about 10 million dollars according to a recent interview with Stone.

Shows what loyalty gets you in life
