I agree. Skelton is an complete embarrassment with his appalling lack of skills. It's about time someone knocked the idiot out so we never had to suffer watching him again

Looking at the weigh in pics Skelton looks very nervous. Chagaev in comparrsion looks menacing. I hope Matt can pull off the upset or at least give a good account of himself.

 

I'm hoping for Chagaev making a statement to all other champs at HW...

you youngsters on here have been spoilt by the lennox lewis era.

skelton is an ok fighter , knows his limitations and strengths and fights to them.

if you think skelton is bad then you would have been mortified with fighters like british champ neville meade.

in fact before neville meade i do not think there was a single lonsdale fight at heavy for 5 years because no uk heavy was deemed good enough to fight for the title.

 

show starts at 9 pm GMT, the fight iself around 9.10 pm GMT.

 

A good test for Chagaev. If he can't stop Skelton then he's no "white Tyson".

Betty Skelton's from Bedford not Bradford.

He acquitted himself well that night, gave it a good go and won a round or two on my card IIRC.

 

This thread was made when he was an up and coming contender in his early 40s, why are you bumping it now when he is shot and winning irrelevant fights?:huh
