    i notice alot of people are just spewing names of fighters who were athletically gifted...

    roy jones jr and calzaghe come to mind.. both freaks of nature in terms of athleticism but i personally dont think there ring IQ (though good) deserves a mention when we are talking GOAT

    Absolute bullcrap Muhammad Ali is known the world over by just his surname Ali. When someone says " The Greatest is in the room" everyone knows they mean Ali. The story goes that Ali was on the dais with The Pope. Some guy said " who's that guy with the funny hat up there with Ali ?? :shock:
    Sure Ali talked trash but he ALWAYS backed up what he claimed. Like he said " Its not bragging if you can back it up"
    Though I do not necessarily follow Ali's beliefs but I believe he was 100% sincere when he refused to accept induction. He didn't run as he could have, He stayed to accept the concequences. People claimed he was not sincere. All I have to say to that is Man he must be one heck of a con artist because his religious beliefs are still as strong today
    Muhammad Ali is probably the best known and admired single person in the world:happy:good

    ROFLMAO Floyd can duck & dodge alright He wrote the book of excuses for a supposed champion not to fight his legitimate contenders. To be a GOAT he'd need a set of cojones

    Ward are you serious you call grabbing and headbutting ring IQ ???? wait till he has to fight a genuinely elite fighter and watch how he gets dismantled on the inside. Hugely overrated.

    LOL, you ask for G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) and get answers like Durant, Wilder, and Margarito. Surely you gest.

    Presently, these would be;

    1. Hopkins
    2. Mayweather
    3. Ward

    last ear would have been;

    1. Whitaker
    2. Leonard
    3. Holmes

    So now you have finished spewing your irrelevant garbage, are you denying Ali got his trash talking act from a wrestler, named Gorgeous George?

    A simple yes or no will suffice.

    Again are you saying that Ali wasn't influenced to join the nation of islam by Malcom X and others?

    Again a simple yes or no will suffice.

    Get it into your head he was incapable of original thought. No one is denying his greatness, or popularity, or even his sincerity, but don't try and portray him as a genius.

    Not surprising at all the amount of fanboys on both sides. Jones Jr was nothing but reflexes, and speed, when the reflexes went he became a punchbag. That takes a lot of IQ.:roll:

    Joe was workrate, chin, and accuracy, not a lot of ring IQ needed there.
