Put Calzaghe and Hatton aside for a moment. In 2007 many British fighters have progressed nicely but who do you think will have the biggest impact in 2008 and be the person we will all be talking about this time next year? Haye, Maccarinelli, Woods, Witter, Froch, Rees, Cook, Mitchell, Arthur...?????

What recognition do Enzo and Rees deserve?

Recognition as 2 of the weakest ABC 'champs' there are?

Thats Debatable. You May Have A Point With Rees But I Wouldnt Say Enzo Is The Weakest.

froch may join the list of brit world champions if his fight against inkin turns out to be for the vacant wbc.

macca will be talked about lots but only because of his **** level of comp...

arthur will become full wbo champ by default but unfortunately he'll only get to defend it against the usual barely top-15 opponents you'd expect from a new warren WBO champion.

I feel it will be Witter.

    Hayes year will be 2009

Yeah i agree, those 3 no doubt.

Maybe Andy Lee from the Ireland nearby could have a good year in 2008.
I think John Duddy will get caught soon, tho i always liked his brawling style.

I dunno if witter can get the big fights tbh. If he could get Malignaggi in the ring, then he could have a great year though.

I reckon Witter, can see him getting Malignaggi and Hatton next year cos Hatton will loose so bad to Mayweather the Yanks wont give a **** anymore and that will be the biggest fight left for him.

I can see Hatton vs Rees as well!

Haye will be 2009 as will Khan!

Froch will make a huge impact in 2008, for me at least.

A win over Denis Inkin - no foregone conclusion - will catapult him towards a recognised world title fight, or it may even be for the vacant title if Calzaghe decides to abdicate from his throne.

Haye had a great end to this year, but wont go straight into a world title shot at heavyweight and will spend the year against the durable types – learning how to adapt to his new weight.

I’d like to think Witter would have a big year, but I have the feeling he’ll be the forgotten man of the ten-stone division. Unification clashes with Paulie Malignaggi and Gavin Rees would be nice but I don’t think it will happen.

Mick Hennessy is a good promoter with good contacts so hopefully something really meaningful can be made for Witter.

I think in 2008 we will finally see what Kevin Mitchell is capable of
