This forum loves Ukrainian boxers that are highly decorated ameturs so I trust there will be no bias. Who has the better resume in their career so far

Usyk beat better competition at CW than Holyfield.

If about amateur career I think Loma because he is 2X Olympic Gold medalist an 2X World championship Gold medalist etc medals
Usyk 1X Olympic Gold, 1X World Gold, 1X bronze, there these euro medals I didn't mention, too much of these cups and medals for them.
However Usyk had fought vs elite in amateur ranks.
Some specimens he had fought was Beterbiev, elite amateur, World championship: 1X Gold, 1X Silver medal and so on.
In amateurs most notable his opponent I think was Russo. Russo is 2X Olympic Silver medalist and 2X World Championship Gold medalist and he is more well known for hardcore pro boxing fans and pundits cos he defeated Wilder in 2008th.

Pro resumes is difficult to compare.
Loma was under bob and quickly get a title shot, while Usyk had been a pro 3? years with 9 pro fights until he get a title fight vs Glowacki.
Usyk also had fought on foreign soil a lot and in heavily stacked division. CW then had top lads who too had took risks, like to fight on foreign soil, vs opponents in their prime or even had fights at HW under belt.

Loma moved weight classes up at pro ranks and usually his opponents were heavier in the ring than he.
Most likely he had only one opponent vs he had physical strength advantage and this was fight vs Rigo.

Both fabulous fighters, but I give the edge to Usyk as he's undefeated as a pro, won the cruiserment tournament to unify the division, moved up to challenge at the highest weight division in HW and takes on tough challenges away from home regularly.

For me, Loma did enough to get a draw to Salido, but did lose to Lopez. I'd like to see a rematch of that one.

Just to add, Lomachenko had the edge in the unpaid ranks with 2 Olympic gold medals. Terrific boxer.

Hard to compare right now - Loma 3 weight champ vs Usyk Undisputed @ Cruiser.

In the final reckonning it will come down to :-

    1) Can Usyk get a belt at Heavyweight (and not a gimme - take it from AJ/Fury)
    2) How does Loma come back from his defeat against Lopez? Can he work his way to a belt and somehow get revenge? Doubtful as Lopez won't be at 135 much longer I'd guess

If Usyk can beat AJ and get Heavyweight belts, then hard for Loma to compete with that regardless of what he does.

If Usyk loses to Joshua, and Loma wins another title @135, then I'd say Loma edges it.

Right now it's a toss up IMO.

Mm. Tough call. Usyk probably. Would have gone with Lomo had he not taken a pretty bad L vs. Lopez... They're both very hyped up and always have been beloved on this forum. Usyk deserves claims and credit to "GOAT CW" talk much much more than all the nonsense we kept hearing about Lomo for all these years.

If Usyk beats AJ then there will be no doubt in my mind. Let's hope that fight does happen. I still give him the edge (over Loma) at the minute.

    1. What does that have to do with this thread ?
    2. Holyfield unified and moved on from cruiserweight by the time he was 26
    3. Why because you said so? Please explain how anyone Usyk defeated is better than qawi

Very even for me. Loma has more depth of resume and I don't hold the two close losses against him really.
