Who's got the news for the next Mijares opponent?

Arce is one of the first pure brawler type of fighters that I really got into back when I started becoming a hardcore boxing fan. That beating was one of the hardest ever to watch live for me, I think the reason why the trainer didn't stop it is because Arce would probably get pissed off and feel like he dissappointed his fans, but it would definitely have been the best thing to do in that situation.

I really hope that Arce never gets in the ring with Mijares again (or any top fighter really.. ****, he even wants Vazquez at 122!), but it seems like there's a very realistic chance of it happening now. If Arce spent his money wisely, he could be in a great situation financially if he retired today. He was really blessed with great mainstream promotion in Mexico for a non-elite boxer. The main reason I was reluctant to be a Mijares fan despite liking everything about him is because of that Arce fight. I can't blame him for taking an Arce rematch if he does though. It'll just be really ****ing sad to watch.

Darchinyan will get KO'd by Montiel ... he's another KO waiting to happen ... he's very wide with his punches and has zero defense ... add to that he can't box.

well, he got starched by donaire and knocked down by feather fisted gorres at 112. of course he is going to get starched even harder by a harder punching champ at 115.

 

Because I have Kirilov on tape fighting against Luis Alberto Perez ... a fight in which Kirilov won and got robbed ... It was on Shobox ... on the undercard of Rivera v Garcia fight ...

I actually watch alot of boxing and have hundreds of fights on tape ... including Montiel and Mijares ...

 

Yeah ... he has good balance, good boxing skills, and good movement ...

He also can punch with both hands ...

 

Don't confuse a boxrec warrior with someone who knows boxing and has proof of what he says ...

Even Lookmahanak would have a realistic chance of beating Kirilov. Also, Navarro would most likely beat him in a rematch.

 

Do you think he'll beat Darchinyan?

I'm favoring him, but not heavily. It would be great to see Darchinyan get his ass beat again.

 

The main reason I favor Kirilov is because I think his chin can handle the occasional flush shots from Vic and with his superior workrate, he will be landing more often on Vic than vice versa. I think Vic is declining mentally as well and his confidence after the Donaire fight has dropped, which made his chin significantly worse. Kirilov doesn't have power, but Darchinyan getting stunned/dropped wouldn't surprise me after watching Vic's recent fights. Kirilov getting hurt wouldn't surprise me either, but I think he's more prepared for a war than Vic will be. Honestly, I haven't thought about the matchup much until 15 minutes ago and I need to rewatch both of them. Another reason why I favor Kirilov is because I like him and I hate Vic.
