Kirkland was never fast. He was nothing more than a crude slugger with decent pop who loved to bang and go to war. I never built him up as the second coming just thought he would beat Angulo who isn't anything special himself. With that said he was better before he went to prison he was with Wolfe and was on the right track. He's back with Wolfe now but I think it's too late.

 

I knew exactly where this thread and poll were going hence I was able to vote with foresight, much like I did in the Morales Mayweather thread.

Things change in fighters not all guys can come back from a layoff and be the same. Some guys can have long layoffs and still compete looking like they have lost nothing while others do it and never look the same and Kirkland belongs in that group.
