Joe C was more dominant at 168 then Morales was at any one weight as well. As was Sven Ottke. Joe c & Sven Ottke > Morales... :thumbsup

I did a short investigation on the integrity of your average esb poll when it's close, I was interested in doing such a (brief) investigation ever since the Morales Mayweather poll where there would be odd shifts in the poll numbers say 3-4 votes one way or another I suspected alt accounts.

Well for this poll I have found the following posters voting for Hopkins who have 0 posts.

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/member.php?u=67170
    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/member.php?u=75908

    And the same for Morales

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/member.php?u=73956
    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/member.php?u=68799
    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/member.php?u=43384
    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/member.php?u=61513
    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/member.php?u=75660

All 7 votes are suspect more then likely alt accounts, there are countless others with 1-2 posts but for this particular investigation I chose to focus on the 0 post users, notice that two of the people who voted for Morales have the name 'baby' in their username one being babybull and the other babyjoey, what are the chances two users with such a similar username who have never posted a single post manage to vote in the same poll and manage to pick the same option?

If you are impressed by my investigative skills and wish to book my services PM me, who knows maybe your wife is ****ing the gardener or some **** :conf whatever it is I can get to the bottom of it.

Cool story. I'm not sure what this has to do with my post though.

    Care to elaborate, Lance?

Cool story? Um...you mad bro? (Is that the right usage?)

Was a reply to this part, which I am aware isn't the WHOLE critera for ranking. But maybe you can elaborate as well why longevity in one division trumps beating the better fightersover several.

You misinterpreted my post. At no point I have ever suggested on any thread on any forum ever that longevity in one division trumps beating a better level of opposition.

Freddy-Wak was responsible for suggesting that Bernard Hopkins hadn't had a great career. Any fighter that has managed to dominate a division for a long period of time has enjoyed a great career, and that is why I felt it neccesary to make the point. Hopkins has also beat a very impressive list of names in addition to making those 20 successful title defences at Middleweight.

Hopkins is a greater fighter than Morales, but not purely based on his domination of the Middleweight division.

aaaww. look at the mod boy getting mad. it's cool, u still seem to be a cool guy. nobody's perfect and i won't hold u to it. that said, Hopkins at post 40 has fought Jermain Taylor twice, Winky Wright, Kelly Pavlik, Antonio Tarver, Joe Calzaghe, Jean Pascal twice, and Chad Dawson.

Black fighters lack balls or black fighters aren't stupid enough to get their ass whooped and career ended in one fight? Taylor went out on his shield. Dirrell and Hopkins both suffered legitimate injuries that could compromise their ability to continue fighting. Andre Berto fought a hungry Victor Ortiz and took a beating but gave one too. Mayweather fights people coming off of career wins and without making them weight drain themselves. Not to mention the fact that he stood right in front of ortiz and out gunned him.

Calm down with racist bull ****. Hopkins never been whooped. Marquez, morales and barrerra all ahve. Hopkins has been old for half of his career. most boxers are near retirement at 35. I have a hard time saying who was greater than Hopkins or Morales, but I don't have a hard time giving respect where it's due. who has Hopkins ducked? Klitschko?

No he wasn't. How was he past his best? He did well in that fight. you can't say Morales stunk if Zaragosa was a very good fighter to begin with. More like his power saw him through. Morales knocked him out with a bodyshot. Not even your boy Barrera could dream of doing that to Zaragosa.

For the record I voted for Hopkins the poll.
