Who's greater Hopkins or Morales?

I don't think everyone here agree that "the blacks" are all disrespectful cheaters or cowards these days, but maybe you could make a poll to help clear that up.

Also, feel free name one other sport where popularity or excitement are weighed heavily as explicit criteria in any serious ranking of the greatest players or teams. And I don't mean in the manner in which people will always have at least some bias for the teams or athletes they enjoyed watching the most; I mean that popularity counts as much as actual accomplishments.

 

I cannot vote against possibly the greatest super batam of all time. Plus my favourite fighter of the past 15 years.

Bernard is one of the most effective fighters I have seen, I dont think this makes you greater.

 

Polls have been made, and the fans have spoken. Maybe not in those exact words, but the truth is, it is becoming more and more of a problem in the black boxing community.

But anyways, as far as naming other sports...you play basketball, you play football, BUT YOU DONT PLAY BOXING...and a one on one sport should never be compared to a sport where teammates are involved....it just doesn't work that way....

So do you think the results of any poll here should simply be taken as "facts" in the boxing world?

Fine, but I'm pretty sure popularity is not used as an explicit criterion when ranking individuals in other one-on-one sports either. Nor do I have the slightest clue how the play/don't play distinction somehow implies that we should all of the sudden start worrying about popularity when considering greatness.

 

Why is Eric Morales being overrated these days? Morales is greater than Floyd and Hopkins? Are you ****ing trying to kid real boxing fans?

 

What it says is that you Mexicans have 100 years before you can even appraoch the greatness of Blacks in Boxing.:deal I want to see how many of these so called great Mexicans are even in the top 50 ATG or even 20 P4P rankings today because right now it ain't lolkking that great for Mexican boxers. In ring they're completely the opposite, Hopkins knows every trick in the book he does get away with a lot minor 'illegal' stuff, whilst Morales is one of the cleanest fighters i've seen.

 

Hmm, let's take a gander at the identities under each option on the public poll.

What do you know, most African American respondents seem to have gone with one option (and make up its largest representation) and most Mexican respondents seem to have gone with the other (and make up its largest representation). Fancy that. Cuckoo bananas!

 

I'll watch it because i'm a fan of the boxing and can appreciate what Hopkins does in the ring. His clinic of Tito was one of the best displays of boxing of this era. If you can't appreciate that then find a new sport.:hi:
