The 135 division Loma has campaigned is far better than any division Canelo has campaigned in. The problem is when Canelo was at 160 and it was a strong division, nobody fought each other. The big fights at 135 are being made.
Both hyped up and held to a standard higher than others despite their lack of achievements as pro's. Canelo beats up washed brits and Loma came to the pro game too late. After Fury chins Usyk and Bivol slaps Canelo again people can forget about them
One was on the receiving end of corruption. One was kicked in the balls by corruption. Canelo became null and void when he decided to stick needles in his body.
And ppl. wonderi why boxing forums have gone to shts. Loma's resume severely lacks substance, LOST to 12-loss Salido, LOST to green Fimo who instantly got beaten and LOST to Haney who may lose to Shakurvonta next. He has an MD over T-Rex, a W over a bantamweight who didn't show up, someone called Walter White or something, 5-loss Linares, some British dude and that's that. Canelo lost to this fella called Top 10 ATG and the best LHW since Roy Jones, well outside of his average career weight (which is lightweight for Lomachenko). He beat Cotto, Baldomir, Mosley, GGG, Jacobs, Kovalev, Saunders, numerous Brits I can't name, Lara, Trout, Plant. Hot damn Kermit, Khan, Ndou, Angulo, Chavez and more Brits were world champions at some point, on fight night or after. He's beaten more champions that Loma had fights, and his losing record is to a 70-0 Bivfloyd. The record of the dudes who beat Lomachenko is like 90-13.
Lomachenko is the more gifted fighter, but Canelo has achieved a lot more in the pro ranks and will retire with the greater legacy.
