    Marquez is special.

    Cotto is elite...but not special.

I wish Erik Morales had have been a bit younger so we could have had the pleasure of seeing him pulverise Marquez unconscious but alas….

Without Pac, JMM would be remembered as mini-Margarito

You're right, without Pac JMM would only be a 4 division champ and everybody knows how easy that is to do... Moron

glad to see sanity has prevailed
cotto was always a bridesmaid in each division he competed in (albeit there were some mighty fighters in and around his divisions), and Martinez was ripe for the picking
it's ridiculous to rank cotto above marquez

Marquez on the night of KTFO6 looked like Milhouse in the episode where he is a roiled up teen, nice resume Juan but King Cotto would hospitalise you if that fight does indeed happen :SimpHomer:

Based on accomplishments, I think Cotto takes it.

Cotto may have had an off night against the very credible Trout, who not so long ago gave highly touted Jermall Charlo a serious run for his money, but JMM has been beat by half the midgets who went pro since the 90s. Sure Marquez has the highs, but his lows are not the makings of a special fighter.

There is probably a guy browsing this forum right now with a pro win against JMM.
