Roy was unstoppable in his prime, but Floyd wins the tougher opposition and for a longer duration of time. So I will go with Floyd in this one.

Jones declined @33? wasnt he 35 when he lost to Tarver in the 2nd fight? I could be wrong...

Roy in is prime was amazing, I agree....but lets not box in a fighters career to their primes...we are evaluating their entire career....Roy Jones couldnt even adjust to Tarver and he fought him 3 times, ko'ed by Johnson, dominated by Calzaghe, a loss to hopkins, knocked out by green and lebedev....

no way he is greater than Mayweather....get real

Roy was very skilled I agree and he is one of my favorite fighters of all time but all the post prime KO's have hurt, especially when evaluating his career as a whole. Yes in his PRIME he was a phenomenal skilled fighter, but overall getting knocked out over and over isnt something that should rank you higher than Mayweather.

Floyd is 35, the same age RJJ was when Tarver starched him, lets see if post 35 Mayweather gets knocked out cold in any of his fights....

Beating better opponents and barely losing a round should rank you higher.

Why is Floyd's case seemingly dependent on what Jones did or didn't do? That's pretty telling as to who the primary variable is. He was as dominant as any fighter has ever been and then some in all likelihood. Toney, Hopkins, Ruiz are probably the top three wins between them. Granted, Ruiz isn't necessarily or exactly special for what he was as a fighter on his own merit.

At the same weight, Floyd gets made to look like Toney.

if Roy had retired after the Ruiz fight this wouldnt even be a debate but thats what happens when you stick to boxing for too long

    Money?

The same "money" that retired like a ***** for 2 years when there were real challenges at welterweight and cost himself HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF POTENTIAL EARNINGS?

    That "money?"

If you want to get factual then lay out the facts. Marquez was coming up from 135. He fought and beat Diaz and Casamayor there. There have been other fighters both recent and in the past to make the jump from 135 to 147 and be competitive with highly ranked individuals. (Mosley - ODLH). Even more convincing is Marquez jump to knock out Manny.

Regardless if Corrales liked to get jabbed in the face, he was a top 5 pfp fighter at the time Floyd demolished him.

43-0 > 56-8 Fact. And even though you want to claim Roy's 2 best wins are better than Floyd's 2 best, Floyd has had much better wins across his career. That and Floyd never went to sleep on the job.

    This is highly accurate.

Put Floyd in with Martinez. Martinez would use his movement, fast hands, and sharp counters, but he would STOP Floyd, not just outbox him.

Why you think Floyd's scared ***** ass was scared to fight him like like a straight up ***** after Floyd called him out?
