Who's Greater: Roberto Duran or Muhammad Ali?

Sure he is he could lead he had a atg jab and he could frustrate people with movement and defense. He often outworked guys in many fights

 

His workrate was really good, but Duran is more versatile. Because he could take center ring and outbox you, he could decide to cut the ring and pressure you, he could punch it out in a slugfest too. He could fight at all ranges and is the most skilled inside fighter ever. His jab is great, he changes levels, his body punching is amazing, he feints, excellent counters, amazing footwork and balance.

 

Great fighter but quit against srl lost to dejesus was ktfo by hearns lost to benitez i could go on and on. Pea whitaker would have outboxed duran to a win. He never lost in his prime but was robbed 2x. For whatever reason pea whitaker is underrated and duran is overrated.

 

Duran would cut off the ring and knock him out.

 

Duran would get frustrated by his inability to mount any type of offense against pea. Pea would taunt and clown him all night long until he quit, it would be funny to watch. We've seen him do it and know he had quit in him.

No he wouldn't. Who stopped or even really troubled a prime pea? He ate pressure fighters for breakfast That fight stays in the middle of the ring where pea boxers circles around duran frustrates and makes him quit. Duran never dealt well with movers defensive or slick fighters. Pea takes him to slick school

No he doesn't. How did that work against benitez? Lmfao! Benitez is great but nowhere near in peas class. Duran would try to pressure because he knows he wouldn't have a chance in hell of outboxing pea and he would be swinging at air and getting hit with jabs and left hands. Pea loves pressure which is playing right into his hands. Pea whitaker is a stylistic nightmare for duran and bests any version of him.

Heck no. Duran has never shown the ability to deal with slick fighters. Pea whitaker is one of the slickest fighters in history. He won't play Duran a games like srl did in their 1st fight. He can't deal with pea in the middle of the ring. Pea on his bike frustrates the hell outta duran. Fighters who used movement give duran fits where as fighters who tried to pressure pea got schooled.

 

Tito punches harder than Duran, but he is not nearly as skilled cutting the ring off, he doesnt know how to apply educated pressure like Duran.

 

Whitaker was getting hammered by numerous DLH power shots. Duran would have beat him down.
