That china fight was when tyson was going towards his downfall. girls, drugs, and drinking. money and social life got the better of him. he wasnt in his prime condition at the time of the match. he didnt even train before the match. i recon a healthy and focused mike tyson would have got douglas any day.

even if wladimir wins more fights, and retains the belts longer then tyson, it still would make tyson one of the greatest. the ratio with age to wins put tyson in favour.

a clean and healthy tyson was the greatest fighter, ever.

Is that why he got KOd by Danny Williams?? :nut

For me Wladimir is the better champion because he has the most important quality: dedication. He has been the ultimate professional and dedicated himself to his craft for two decades, while Mike didnt have the same willpower and only gave boxing his all for 6 years of his life or so.

Also, as stated earlier in the thread - When Tyson lost, even though he was young it was the begininning of the end. When Wlad lost he changed everything and climbed back to the top and became better than ever. To me that shows who had the true heart of a champion.

Head to head you put Wladimir in Top 3?

Let me guess, his brother Vitali is #1 or #2 right?:lol::lol::lol:

Let me refresh something in your mind - a PRIME Vitali LOST to an OLD Lewis by way of *****-gash on the left eye.

why would you ask that when you know he wasnt even interested in fighting or training for it?

whistling down the wind there, mate.

social differences can easily account for that difference, but yes Wlad being a longevity champ helps a little to make up for his reign being crap.

yes he was mentally better for the long term.

As pointerd out earlier, tyson did things Klitto could NEVER do in any multiverse becasue he didnt have the physical abilities, but klitto lasting longer is something tyson could have done with the right social support.

Lol **** off about social settings :patsch The Klits grew up in Kiev in the wake of the Soviet regime coming down, hardly a paradise. DOnt give me bull**** about support, after Wlad lost to Brewster, his own brother, coach everyone told him to retire but he fought on and got a new coach and reinvented himself. Tyson fired his coach Rooney because he wanted to slack off rather than make the most out of his talent. YOur post is nothing but excuses.

No, being raised in the gutter of the Bronx is another level to Klits background.

Dont make yourself look so bad, be kind to yourself by being polite when you are wrong.

yes i admitted he is dedicated for a longer period of time. You appear to be reinforcing the wrong argument, its your other point that I dissected

Answer the right counterargument at hand that you havent been able to yet, not the one I am agreeing with you on.

lol **** off tyson was swooped out of the ghetto by the time he was a pre teen and in the rich catskills

    excuses excuses excuses

Bernard hopkins spent serious time in jail rather than the juvy stints that tyson did and hes one of the most dedicated fighters ever. that is the shittiest excuse I have ever heard, if anything his hard upbringing should have made him tougher

    :lol::patsch:hi:

This just in folks: Tyson prefered to snort charlie and binge eat rather than train because he spend his childhood in the ghetto :lol::patsch

I bet you also feel its okay if Tyrone steals your bike because he doesnt have one :rofl

Pretty close. On resume it's a draw.

    H2H I would pick Tyson.

With Vitaly it is the other way around.. I would pick Tyson for resume, but probably prime Vitaly for H2H (but both are top 5 all time H2H).

Tyson, however Wlad isn't that far off. If he beat his brother I'd consider replacing Tyson at 10 with Wlad, however it's very unlikely this would happen

    Face it.

No one is buying into the Klit hype besides people who want to feel good about the big ukranian guys.

They won't go down as greater than Tyson, and they shouldn't be considered top 10 on any list, they will be casualities of a bad boxing era unfortunately.

ha, that may be funny but it doesnt mean you are any better at appreciating inner city problems in the Bronx.

I'll leave you to make jokes instead of face the point.
