Which, to put it plainly, gives PR the landslide in percentage.

Since the Cotto/Margo fight was made a couple of months back this type of subject has been done to death.

Yes, but now you have numbers to play with in your sandboxes of hate.

Puerto Rico has a population of 3.9 million, while Mexico hasa population of 107 million. If Puerto Rico has produced about 40 champions while Mexico has produced around 100 champions, the champions per capita are more in Puerto Rico. And that is a more meaningful stat than the total amount of champions a country has had without considering the population. By the way... This is a stupid question. You probably were trying to elevate Mexico's status as a boxing empire and trying to discredit Puerto Rico's status.

I don't know what you mean with that statement maybe you can explain, but my point is that I hate these type of threads because they usually lead to both sides spewing racist posts towards one another that is just stupid and un-necessary.

Sorry, Benny I didn't mean to include you in that at all. I know what you meant. My point is that these kinds of questions are loaded and their answers really don't prove anything at all.

Both countries have produced great, proud champions.

Which coast of the United States has more rocks on it? Who cares. Stupid nationalistic battles. Proves nothing and pisses off the many that try to contend their nationalistic argument.

It's obvious mexico had more champions and the original question wasn't about per capita champions. Mexico does not need any helpto be elvated as a boxing empire. The have had a history of many great champions and several all time greats. I think the list my be a little off to as Humberto Soto is not on there and he is actually a recent champion.

BTW, I found the answer because I like a challenge and think it's fun to solve problems. It's interesting but proves nothing, and I assume any adult agrees with that.
