Obviously Floyd. The only thing he ever does is shoulder rolling and you need an early 90's, Vanilla Ice-like or you know, that guy singing Informer, kind of dancer to mimick that, and he needs to box at a certain level too. That's someone very difficult to find indeed.

Both are unique in the way they perfected their art. It can't be imitated. Nothing but poor imitations. One guy that reminds me of Pacquiao by the way he throw his punches with certain type of angles is Lomachenko. The ones that tried to imitate Floyd in a cheap way failed miserably. Just look at Berto and Broner at some point.

It seems the strategy to beat Floyd is throw a lot of punches and be awkward. Maidana vs Mayweather 1 is a good example, he threw almost 900 punches and hit mayweather everywhere. Some how Floyd threw half the punches and landed more.

Their not going to find anyone on Floyd's boxing IQ level. I'm not even sure roach could even recognize it if he seen a fighter like Floyd. If you want to lean offense as your defense then roach is your guy. I think roach will be a bit of a hindrance in the corner when mayweather makes adjustments in the fight. He won't have much advice for Pacquiao. He couldn't really figure out JMM in 4 fights, he's going to have a hell of a time getting to mayweather in 1.

Attempting Mayweather's style (key word is attempting) may be easier, it's far more traditional and makes sense when learning or teaching it. Pacquiao is a far more unorthodox boxer and a southpaw.

If I had to look for sparring partners, I would much rather be in Floyd's team because you won't find anyone with his intelligence in the ring. You would need guys that would force Manny to constantly be thinking and changing what he does during sparring sessions.

It would be easier finding sparring partners that can fight with the type of pressure and intensity that Manny fights at, although still no easy task.

    FMJ.

    Look at Broner.
    Rigo has that style.

Nobody else out there comes close.

There's a few Manny like boxers currently.
Not as good, but they're out there.

Pac, no one can mimic the awkwardness and angles, he has such an unorthodox style, Mayweather will not be prepared for Pacquiao, Gauranteed.

I think Pacquiao is harder to mimic, but its hard to mimic Floyd and be good at it if that means anything

I can mimic Pacquiao, sort of. I can box ortho and lefty, right handed but I feel extremely comfortable in southpaw. If I mimic either guy, it's easier for me to mimic Pac.

Horrible mimic I must admit though.

Richard Abril used a perfect shoulder roll defense against Rios

so i guess that counts as ¨copying floyd succesfully¨

who in turns copied it from Toney

who in turn copied it from someone else who copied it from Benton who copied it from who knows

Floyd's style not unique, shoulder roll and philly shell are old as ****

Pac's the only one who's special

there's never been someone like Pac before

    nobody can truly mimic him

Floyd. Because it's impossible to mimic his ability to adapt.

    Both are hard to mimic.
