It's hard to see Wlad getting outboxed, but Hearns proved it against an all time great in Leonard, so you have to go with him.

Hard for you, a proud Klitshcko cum guzzler, yeah. Lewis, Louis, Ali, Liston (of just the greats) all outbox the stiff, hesistant and fragile Klitshcko with ease. Many more are capable, A, B and C level fighters even.

Only a couple of fighters in history have any hope of outboxing the Hitman at Welter.

For a little perspective, Hearns, at 147lbs, had a reach only 2" shorter than Klitshcko's, incredible.

    Thomas Hearns
    Height, 6'1"
    Reach, 78"

He was a freak, it was almost unfair when he was at Welterweight.

What did Chris do to deserve a comment like that? Sure, I agree that Hearns was the better boxer, and to some extent, so did Chris, but Jesus Christ that remark was rude......

This is all speculative, and at anyrate, what the hell does this have to do with Klitschko vs Hearns?

Agreed, however the man was not unbeatable even during his prime. So, to use the terms " in history ", is getting a tad carried away...

And he'd be facing a man, who would use that extra 2" very well. Not to mention a shitload of height, weight and muscle mass. Plus, Hearns was Ko'd by Iran Barkley, Marvin Hagler, Ray Leonard, and floored by James Kinchen. Therefore, to think that he could have been knocked out by a true heavyweight is not out of the question, regardless of weather or not that heavyweight was inferior on a P4P basis.......

P.S. I think Hearns was pound for pound, the far greater fighter. But, legacies and head to head matchups, especially at different weights, are two totally different animals.......

    :huh

I don't think I (or anybody else) implied Hearns would beat Klitshcko.

Nice try at evading the issue, but I didn't get the general impression that you felt Hearns would lose. Particularly after listening to speel about Hearns at welterweight, which is actually preposterous given that Wlad would never fight at 147 Lbs...

    whatcha' talkin' bout Willis? :huh

When I (or anybody else, I'd venture) comments that somebody (say Hearns) is impossible to outbox at Welterweight, I think its fairly obvious it means BY OTHER WELTERWEIGHTS.

I think Wlad is harder to out box because he's in an unlimited weight class. Wlad has a speed, power, weight, height, reach, and skills edge over his opponents in just about every fight he's in. Think about that.

As you may have guessed ( or at least I hope you did ), this is the classic forum. It takes a tad bit more than being a " lover ", or a " hater ", to gain credibility here, and certainly more than insults on other posters. In the general forum, your approach may be a genuine recipe to climbing the mountain of expertise, but we do things a little differently here.
