Is this a question? It is so obvious.

Anyone who voted Floyd are the same degenerate people who always vote for him in ESB.

    Longevity???

how the hell can Floyd have an edge in longevity when Holmes fought into his 50's. Honestly I don't understand where some of the comments come from. He started in '73 and ended his career in 2002 and during that time he had 75 fights. Now I admit the last 10-15 years of that period wasn't all that productive, but he fought almost for as long as Mayweather's been alive. And he has the second most title defenses behind Louis and he was 48-0 at one time, coming damn close to tieing Marcaino's 49-0 record.

Floyd is still active so he should not be part of the ATG list yet. He is not even in the HALL of Fame yet because that will happen at least five years after his retirement.

People should remove PBF's dick in their mouths so they can think straight.:deal

Floyd obviously. He's held titles in multiple divisions. Holmes only one.

This is hard for me. Initially and by instinct I was going to say Larry - longevity, HoF wins, "cleaning" out challengers, and other great names near or at their peak.

However, you can argue that some of the names on their are a bit misleading - like Ali in 80s.

PBF does not have the names in his resume like Larry has. But he did beat all of them and during his 130+ days he beat some of the best competition near or at their peak.

At the end I have to go with Larry. His longevity and the work he did in the late 70s to early 80s is better than what PBF did in 1998-2005. He faced A LOT of names. He did not win all of them but better than the sparing PBF resume.

Holmes resume trumps Floyds and for a HW Holmes is as skilled as it gets. Best jab in history.

    Ill call it even.

Yep, he has a good case for top 5 at super feather (with probabily only Azumah Nelson, Alexis Arguello and Flash Elorde clearly ranking higher) But it's a half way house, therefore not many great fighters have spent a long time there. (what did Floyd have there about 7 or 8 defenses?) I don't think Floyd's established any great legacy in any prestigious division he's fought at and hasn't faced enough tough/great comp to make up for it. Even though they've been their for him, which someone like Roy Jones didn't have for example.

I'll say this though, for a long time Larry Holmes was underrated and unappreciated, however that's starting to go the other direction lately among the hardcore fans, because it seems fashionable to do so. Larry still rates higher then Floyd IMO and by a decent margin.
