I'm not saying a few good rounds vs mayweather should decide this...i was responding to someone who was surprised that i even asked.....i was pretty much just saying that many people feel sergios resume is weak, and not even p4p worthy....atleast not in the last two years....

just weird that some people have him at number 2, while others dont even acknowledge him as a p4p'er

Martinez, however Cotto deserves more of a mention P4P wise than he gets.

Cotto is one of the best fighters in the world but if he is in the top 10 then he is somewhere in the bottom of the list.
Martinez is top 5 guaranteed and should be positioned between 3-4 at worst.

    Ill say as of today:

    Sergio Top 3-5 P4P
    Cotto Top 8-10 P4P

Now, if Miguel clearly beats Trout we may have to adjust!

Cotto is a future HOF and has an overall superior resume, but Sexy is obviously the better fighter atm and has beaten better opponents atm.

For Cotto to be in the P4P discussion again, he has to beat Trout and a few more legit contenders @ 154.

Overall Cotto is the greater fighter if they retire tomorrow.

Currently Martinez ranks higher p4p though due to his dominance.

Cotto is my favorite active fighter, but Martinez deserves the higher ranking.

Martinez, no doubt about it. Cotto may not even be in the top 10.
