Alright folks My dad got given a copy of this pic by a friend and he's trying to work out everyone that's in it. Can anyone identify them all? And/or know when/where this was taken? I think Max Baer and Henry Armstrong are front centre with their arms around each other's shoulders. Randy Turpin at the back on the left. Jimmy Wilde near the back with his left hand in the air and maybe Nat Fleischer This content is protected behind Max Baer. Anyone got a clue on the others? Anything would be appreciated? it's a Jack Solomons reunion of all the British & world champions he promoted. Lesnevich Armstrong Harvey Monaghan Downs Williams Turpin Kane Boon and others yet!
excuse me Rasch, but do you not read posts or do you just take the credit for them? see first response!
Eh? Taking credit for what? You gave a list of names but how was the original poster supposed to identify their positions? :? I also gave names (and positions) that you didn't ..... Waterman and Petersen ..... and said that Wilde and Fleischer aren't in the pic. But feel free to take credit for that also. What a delicate little flower you are ....... I will stand away from this thread and let you bask in your glory.
not at all, when I answer a post of this nature I recognize what another poster already pointed out and add to it or expand on it thats all, just courtesy.
isnt that max baer at the back? This looks about the time solomons threw a closing down show for the old haringay.
A slightly different image which clearly shows Max Baer at the centre back. Also visible are Joe Erskine and Don Cockell who can't be seen on the first posted picture. I can't tell which one is Tommy Farr though? Just hope that thistle1 hasn't already mentioned them
Farr is the third man standing from the right. First just half a face, then Farr second to the left. Woller
hey guys, really impressed with the knowledge shown! I wonder if you guys could help me in identifying this boxer? All I know about him is that he fought in Dublin, Ireland around the 1950's and he may be American. This content is protected
