Im pretty neutral about it really. I only support scottish fighters nowadays you see. I have my favourites to watch in world boxing, but I wouldnt say I would lose any sleep if any of them lost, unlike a scottish fighter! Being a scottish boxing fan is like watching a wee football team, more downs than ups. But when one of them scores a big win? Nothing beats the rush I get drom that:good

If khan won, it would be fine, as hes a stablemate of Craig McEwans & if Roach can make Khan into the complete fighter, that only reinforces my opinion that McEwan is with the best trainer in the world today, & has the best chance to succeed.
If Khan loses? Then iit will be down to his chin, & not due to his boxing talent I believe.
khan has given me plenty of laughs when he appeared on beat the star & whupped the policeman, No-one who seen that programme could hate Khan after that:D

I'm about the same man, just cause am Scottish first and British second. I like Khan but am not a fan of all the hype and press surrounding him,.

I hope Khan wins convincingly so people will find it hard to find excuses i.e a win against against a light welter that is not shot

The positive noise from Khan's training camp at the wild card leads me to beleive Khan will win in style...only worry is the chin letting him down

I am getting this feeling Khan is going to put on a grand show, and give Kotelnik the beating of his life.

Hmmm seems I am not alone in Amir winning me around. I think some of us Brit's are a little worried about getting behind another false hope (ala Ricky Hatton) to have our hearts broken when we realise that 1 ***** in his armour is too big of a flaw for him to be one of the best. This is my only thing against Amir, Prescott exposed a weakness in Khan and nobody has let us forget it since and so a stigma surrounds the guy.

However I think he is a good guy, after the Olympic's I saw him talking to Lennox Lewis for some show about boxing. Lewis was hinting that he should stay and earn that gold medal but he was having none of it and not really listening to a great champion (didn't help his cause that Lewis is my second fave fighter of all time) and then when he started to get knocked down but claiming it was nothing more then him slipping or not being hurt it started to annoy me.

But since then I've listened to the guy in interviews since joining Roach and he seems just like an excited young kid, he is two years younger then myself and I do and say stupid things from time to time but you can tell his heart is in the right place with him opening the boxing gym, his interviews at wild card and the murmurings about his dedication to training. His quality punching against Barrera (even for the minute or two before he got cut) helped me like him a bit more too but not really a massive contributing factor since the cut ended the fight as a contest.

I would say I like the guy but I still have doubts and worries about how far he can really go, and that includes getting past Kotelnik.

I know, but Kotelnik is doing a good job promoting this fight.

Yep, that basically sums up my impression of Khan, the main thing is not getting caught up in the hype, like I did with Hatton-Mayweather and Hatton-Pac. It will be interesting to see how far Khan has come on since moving to Roach, I am expecting big improvements, but Kotelnik will be a very tough opponent.

I think the whole bill is excellent, Hall, Macklin, 3 Olympic lads and the main event, cracking line up...

Yep it's a great bill, I just hope they are showing this in Vancouver where I fly out a day before the fight.

I'm supporting Khan, party because I like the guy, party because he's British, and partly because I care about the state of British boxing.

I have no idea why people would go out of their way to 'hate' a fighter, why not spend your time focusing on the fighters you do like, rather than wasting your time on those that you don't?

I don't hate Khan, but the Barerra fight was a mockery. The majority of his career has been built up on nothing BUT this is a good fight. I like Kotelnik and would like to see him win, but I wouldn't be too distraught if Khan gets it as long as it's not a didgy decision or a bull**** stoppage.
