This used to be the one of the most exciting and talent-laden div in all of boxing, but with everyone moving up and chasing more glory and moolah, we are relegated to choosing Class B fighters nowadays. :-(

Valero is OVERRATED - Funeka is Awful - Guzman is not what he used to be - Soto is Solid and Katsidtis is Decent. The one fighter that none of the "So-Called" Top-Shelf Lightweights want to fight is Anthony Peterson 24 Yrs Old (29-0). He has been trying to get a fight with anyone Ranked in the Top 10 for the past 16 months.

i dont think theres any need for valero to move up! he seems to be comfortable at the weight and there are plenty of challenges there!

in my personal opinion, valero hasnt fought anyone especially good at the weight to be called the best, and, just my opinion, funeka is just a big freak. so i would go with guzman as the best at the weight (unless funeka beats him in the rematch and makes me look like a dickhead for saying this :yep)

If we're not counting Juan Manuel Marquez, then Edwin Valero, Ali Funeka, and Humberto Soto.
